Choosing Swimwear For a Size 12

new look costume
Moving into being more of a size 12 has meant the kind of swimwear I wanted to wear has changed. This meant I have learnt what works better for my body so if you are a size 12 with boobs and a butt I thought my tips might help you.

Swimwear Tip 1- Size Up

I realised if I buy a size bigger then what I am I actually feel more comfortable, all my swimwear now is a size 14 or M-L. This means I don't feel like they are digging in my butt or like my boobs might burst out. I feel much more comfortable around the pool and found this made me slightly more body confident.

Swimwear Tip 2- High-Waisted/High-Leg Bottoms

The fact that these are now so fashionable means they are really easy to find. Yes the high leg bit might be a bit scary but because they rise slightly higher then normal bikini bottoms I find they actually fit more comfortably, especially with my curvy bum. The high waisted part really helps create a smaller waist and if you buy them in black you can mix and match them with different coloured bikini tops.

Swimwear Tip 3- Low Cut Costumes

I find if you have boobs any bigger then a C the high neck costumes can fit a bit funny because your boobs stick out more then your tummy. It wasn't until I tried on a low cut costume that I realised how flattering they can be. They really help bring in your waist and accentuate you best assets. They don't have to be really low cut like the one I am wearing in the photos but a little just helps the costume sit better.

Here are some of my top picks, the costume I am wearing in the photos is from New Look.
