A new season has begun so I thought I would share my A/W picks from two of my fav places to shop, Asos and Zara. I cannot help but be drawn to the new trends hitting us this autumn fluffy coats, bold prints, more boho loveliness and tailored pieces.
The Red Crossover Jumpsuit- £39.99
The Gothic Lace Top- £39.99
The Gothic Lace Skirt- £49.99
The Tailored Long Blazer- £49.99
The Tailored Check Trouser- £29.99
Red is going to be a big colour this season. To really work this trend either mix different shades of red together or block it all with one single shade. Top the look off with black boots and simple accessories. For ideas to help inspire you take a look at Christian Dior's catwalk pics from A/W fashion week.
I love lace, so gothic lace is something I cannot wait to replicate myself. The skirt and top above are a great example of how to transfer gothic lace to work wear, it still has a classic look with a slight rebelliousness feel about it.
Another workwear trend that pops up every year but with altered versions is tailoring. Oversized blazers will be taken to extremes with large cuffs and big collars. The Zara outfit I have chosen is slightly more subtle in another trend returning this A/W, the check print.
The Sheepskin and Faux Fur Coat- £95
The Graphic Print Co-ord Blazer- £52
The Graphic Print Co-ord Culottes- £38
The Patchwork Suede Fringe Cape- £19.50 (sale)
I have two favourite winter items boots and coats so this Sheepskin themed coat from Asos is the stuff made of dreams. I am hoping more colours will appear in this style as I would love a bright, vibrant, fluffy coat to wrap myself in.
Graphic prints are all about standing out in a crowd so the graphic print co-ord is ideal for this. The large oversized print is complimented by being in more subtle colours so the print does all the talking. However you can take it to extremes with this trend and go for some real colour pop prints.
Boho style is not going anywhere (thank goodness) so fringe will be everywhere especially in the cape form. This patchwork one from Asos is currently in the sale and I can picture it brightening up sooooooo many outfits. Need, need, NEED!
So there you have it, the trends I am excited about this season. What trends are floating your boat?
