I was recently contacted by SportsShoes for a "Fashionably Fit' survey and asked to review their website. Their website is amazing but I will come to that in a minute, first I want to discuss the reason for the 'Fashionably Fit' survey. Recently Katherine Jenkins run the London marathon but was criticised for looking good. A journalist from the Daily Mail ridiculed the fact that she had make up and wore designer glasses to run in. You can read the article here if you want. SportsShoe wanted to know how I felt about this and as I am someone who works out a few times a week it was something I felt quite passionate about. I don't know about you but when I head to the gym, yes I put a bit of mascara, blusher and gloss on and I don't feel ashamed to say it. When I work out I want to feel good about myself, well isn't that the reason why we work out in the first place? I do not want to look like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards or been on an all night bender, because if I don't feel good about myself I don't work as hard. So I feel Katherine like every other women shouldn't have to defend herself for wanting to look respectable and hey, she ran the London marathon not a lot of people can say they have done that.
Along with my opinion on this matter SportsShoe sent me some trainers and have asked me to review my experience using their website. Now if you are someone who works out regular you NEED to check this website out. They have a ridiculous selection of sports trainers at amazing discounted prices. Their delivery time is also super quick. I ordered my trainers on the Thursday and they turned up on the Saturday. I ordered the Nike 5.0 running shoes in black and they are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. When I work out I like to feel comfortable so it's all about leggings and a baggy t and now I have these cushioned trainers to add to the mix. They don't just stock trainers they also have a selection of sports clothing as well. I am currently looking at building my sports wear up as it is something I slack on (and don't spend a lot of money on because a choice between pretty shoes and sports wear, pretty shoes will win every time) and SportsShoes again have some great items at discounted prices.

I am doing another post on Fashion vs Sport this one is about how to build your sports trainers into a fashionable everyday outfit, so look out for that next Sunday. Loved to know any of your thoughts on wearing make up to work out in?
